08/29/12 Saginaw Spirit Complete Training Camp Scrimmage Games
The Saginaw Spirit took the ice for three intra-squad games over the past two days as part of the team’s 2012 Training Camp and the results were split down the middle. Teams Blue and White both posted one victory each with the other game ending in a tie, and now the Spirit will prepare for their first preseason game of the 2012-13 OHL season as they travel to London on Sunday, September 2 for a 2 pm start against the defending League Champion Knights.
Here are the results of the three Blue/White Games played this week at the Dow Event Center
Game 1 Team White 3 Team Blue 2
Buffalo Sabres draft pick Justin Kea paced the attack with a pair of goals and veteran Eric Locke added another for Team White as they took the opening game by a single goal. Second year forward Nick Moutrey scored both Team Blue goals while Detroit Red Wings prospect Jake Paterson made 23 saves in the loss.

Second year defenseman Ramon Lopez had a three assist performance for Team White and Eric Locke had a goal and an assist in the tie. Team Blue was paced by veteran Vince Trocheck, who had a goal and two assists.

Rookie goaltender Nikita Serebryakov stole the show in the final intra-squad contest with 28 saves for the win, with Florida Panthers prospect Vince Trocheck leading the offense with two goals and an assist for Team Blue.
